About Our Studio
Sarah Kusa Design Goods creates unique, hand-printed textile accents for the home. Our Saint Paul-based design studio was launched in 2006 by—you guessed it—Sarah Kusa. A former art director for the advertising industry, Sarah wanted to bring her clean, bold design style to her own living space. She took a screenprinting class and soon found herself bringing designs to life in her basement. Equipped with her mother's bird's-egg-blue, three-ton sewing machine straight out of the Sixties, the big idea was born.

We print in small batches to keep the look fresh, using natural fibers and hand-mixed inks. Our color palette and fabrics change often, so that each piece is truly unique. Almost everything we make is entirely printed and sewn in our studio.

Sarah designs each piece personally and loves working with fabric to create lasting beauty. Her goal is to infuse spaces with personality, all while keeping her hands thoroughly messy in the creative process.
